Candle Care
A few simple steps to get the most out of your Melting Point candle and to keep it burning safely and beautifully.
First Burn: On the first light, let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the vessel. This usually takes 2–3 hours and prevents tunneling, giving you a longer-lasting candle.
Trim Your Wick: Before every burn, trim the cotton wick to about 1/4 inch. This prevents soot, mushrooming, and uneven flames.
Burn Time: Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Let the wax cool completely before relighting.
Keep It Safe: Always burn within sight. Keep candles away from drafts, pets, children, and anything flammable. Place on a heat-safe, stable surface.
Know When To Stop: Stop using the candle when about 1/2 inch of wax remains in the vessel.
Reuse Your Vessel: Once you've finished your candle, wash the glass with warm soapy water and give it a second life as a planter, brush holder, or keepsake jar.
